Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!

The sidestand snapped whilst getting on the 748 this morning. Result - me rolling around in the mud and the bike on its side half on the path and half in the garden until I could grab a passer by to help me get it upright and back into the back yard and onto a paddock stand.

Scratched/gouged on lower and upper LH fairings and mirror. And the f**ker wouldn't even start afterwards ie: no whizzing from the fuel pump and not turning the starter motor - do these bikes have some sort of tilt switch?

Any ideas on this one my fellow, long suffering Ducati owners?

*edit* LMAO: - i've just remembered that i hit the kill switch when it was lying there, all pathetic like a wounded gazelle
:rolleye:

Bike will not start without the side stand up, circuit is complete when it is up allowing the bike to start.

With the stand being snapped it won't complete the circuit so won't start.

I am sure there are kits available to overide, or replace the side stand.

Not sure where you are in the country but drop Nelly a u2u he will help you out i am sure.
