It can be a bit of a pain on my 750, but will go in with care. Normally I pop it into neutral just before I anticipate coming to a complete halt.

Hows the bike running now?

Check that your clutch is bled through properly, the slightest bit of air or water vapour and the clutch can drag giving you that effect. Also make sure that your chain is adjusted right, I've never quite been able to work out why but if it's not you can also find it difficult to get into neutral.

From experence with Ducati wet clutchs, even though you are getting full lift on the lever, it does not mean that the plates fully free off. This is worse if you do a lot of short journeys, as not enough oil get into teh clutch to keep the plates free

yeah, its not really a problem cos I very rarely stop anyway...!
The bike is running great now, think that optimate really makes a massive difference, keeping that battery topped up etc.
Ive had a thought, I used to (bad habit I know) stop the bike in gear by letting out the clutch lever instead of turning the ignition off. Do you think that would have caused some bad running/plug fouling/poor starting etc...
I dont do it now and shes running like a dream!
Plenty fast-but I still need to try and sort that slipping clutch problem.....
