A couple of years back when I was looking to buy my z900 I also considered a kettle. Clean restored examples were going for 5k then so I am not surprised to see an unrestored machine going for so much. I have seen early z1's go for 15K and have you seen the price of fs1e's, ap50s etc. The jap classic scene is booming.

knowing ebay, yes, it will make 10K. If you're willing to pay 9K for it then you'll likely be willing to pay 10.
