998 Bip Flasher unit location?

Can anyone tell me where the flasher relay unit is located on a 998, as I can’t seem to find it? Also, is it a little black block, or does it have a different appearance?

I’ve tried taking the fairing off and listening for the ticking noise around the bike on my hands and knees – at which point my wife came in with a cup of tea, and gave me a very funny look as if hear worst fears had been confirmed.

To avoid further embarrassment, I would appreciate it if someone could give me a clue.

I think they are mounted on the headlight housing just behind the clocks! there are definatley 2 small relays but not 100% sure there the flashers or not!

Should be down by the battery, held within one of the sections of a rubber 3-cup type holder. The one you normally need to prise free from the frame to gain access to the oil filler plug. :)

Please don't ask where the oil filler plug is!!! :P

What's an oil filler plug? Is it like a spark plug??

Thanks Raykay - job done.
