Here we are, I love doing things which I know I will get stuck in the middle...

My alternator cover was leaking so I took it off (you would see my homemade extractor........  ).

Now I'd like to have it painted, do you think I should take the bearing off? Is that easy or I won't be able to do it???

Then what product should I use to clean (degrease) the cover? I thought about using some white spirit, is that not going to damage the rubber parts near the small window?

Oh my god, what am I doing

I can see you ending up back at Alan's with a non-starting bike

Good to see you get stuck in though, it's a great way to learn.

Good luck :)

What about the bearing? Can I take it off easily?
