View Full Version : Hi from York
How do, Paul here.
Got a Monster S4 which I've had for around 6 years now, started doing trackdays 2 years ago. I was looking for a dedicated track bike but for some reason ended up buying a Monster S4RS.
After much deliberation and desire for a 998 i've decided i can't afford one unless I sell the RS. So decided to keep both monsters and turn the S4 into a track only bike and get all S4 challenge kit for it.

Great stuff. Hope to catch you at some point during the season.
Need to find out how to make the monster into a sucessful track bike.
Already got race rear sets and gilles clipons, ohlins rear shock. Might rob the front end off the RS...
Welcome mate. Where abouts are you?

Mmmm. I hadn't realised that York was such a small place. Must ask if anyone knows of Paul from York when I am walking around! I'm sure they must know him. Like Taff from Wales,Geordie from Newcastle and Jock from Scotland!:frog:
Or he might just give me a locality and find we are in a close vicinity!

Howdo!
Paul is a regular from DuN.
You have two good Suspension specialists near you but since your forks would have to come out anyway, I can see where you are coming from.
However, good guys - used both of 'em.

Oh how we laughed, just a small comment of what area of York, then I would not have put a post. :frog:

Anyway, thanks Kev.

Hi Frank
Yeah, already been to see Gareth up at Reactive. I had a Traxxion Dynamics kit put in the S4 forks. Much better, but the RS felt much better on track so I am tempted to swap the forks and brakes over.
Did a bit on the S4 last night, the Challenge fairing arrived, cheers skidlid. I don't suppose you know what screen fits it? On the look out for the matching seat hump.

Screen is the same as the one found on the earlier Monsters 600/750/900
Stein.de in Germany still have the kits, maybe they could do a screen separate http://www.stein-dinse.biz/Ducati/Fairing-parts/Fairings/Verkleidung-Dark-kpl::51745.html
On the look out for the matching seat hump.
Be worth asking in the DD wanted section
