If any body needs a seat re-covered, then I can highly recommend Glyn. I sent mine through the post, and was done and returned within 3 days. Great job done in suede(helps with me farmers!). Very reasonable too. Top man.

Thanks Mate;)

Would anyone care to advise me on rider's seat cover material?
The standard cover grips my leathers well, which can be reassuring for road riding, but I find it makes it difficult to change body position quickly to facilitate rapid changes of direction on the track: standing up on the pegs seems to unsettle the bike when I least want that. Is there a more slippery cover material which would allow me to slide over the seat more easily, or would this inevitably lead to dangerous loss of control in other situations?

I've got mine covered in alcantara. Helps moving around quite a bit.

alternatively, spray Mr sheen on your standard pad. Now that really helps sliding around ;)

Hi Everyone...well hi whoever who reads this....

Just had my seat re-covered in Alcantara by a company called 'Surtrim' down here in West Sussex. The guys name is Grant. Ace job he's done, even fitted a proper waterproof membrane under the Alcantara.
He does car seats, bike seats etc in any material. Highly recommended and not expensive.

e-mail him at: info@surtrim.co.uk or go to www.surtrim.co.uk

What do you call "not expensive?"

For removal of original seat covering, fitting of waterproof membrane, cutting and fitting of Alcantara fabric (supplied by me) - £20.

Top job. No creases, wrinkles, lumps etc.
