Evening

I am stupid.

Tightening one of the pinch bolts on on the bottom yoke the other day and I over tightened it.

I have pulled the thread out.

As there are only 3 bolts holding each fork in I assume this is quite an important bolt.

So what are my options?

1. new bottom yoke
2. tap and bigger bolt
3. ??

What would you do?

3rd option, use a helicoil kit, stronger than original

Quick option if needed, longer bolt and use a washer and nyloc nut on the end.

Helicoil, is the best option.

Have you sorted it yet Dan
As mentioned a Helicoil repair is the best option, easy enough with the right kit
