Vote was in favour of the proposal but as some of you have deals set up aslready it would be unfair to penalise you. We are looking into options that will suit all. As the people who voted "Yes" obviously want us to sort them a deal can they ask their mates who may not have voted to do it even at this late stage so that we have a better idea of potential tyre quantities required by them overall.

Hope its not a table leg end, could end up with the dog p*ssing up it, still it would give you lot some time off.

Good idea, will bring it up at the next MTM, perhaps a job for the new commercial manager ?

Couple of years ago I (personally) bought and paid for a batch of tyres from a dealer in Witney thinking that it would help our club members. Spent a couple of grand (of my own money before anyone kicks off !!!), collected them and stored them in the dark at my factory. Took ages to get rid and they were popular sizes and a popular make.

I think it is down to the logistics in a way; not so good for people to buy tyres via the post as they then need to get them fitted, normally this negates the saving at least to some extent.

I'm sure that Grahame will have general tyre discounts with a variety of potential outlets on his list of "things to do" but will, as stated, bring it up at the MTM and take it upon myself to report back to you afterwards.

Does that make any sense ?

Can't recall Skids but they must have been cheap at the time for a tight git like me to travel all that way :D:D

Maybe I should clarify that I didn't buy the batch of tyres for any personal gain, it was for the benefit of members. I actually made a financial loss but it was an interesting exercise.
