Anyone heard of Viper?
There's some on ebay at the mo.
Thing is they give the same part number for carb and injection models. I thought the bikes needed slightly different pipes?

Zimbo of these parts had some on his zzr600. I think he liked them. PM him for feedback.

The cans can be the same but the connector pipes are definitely different. If the Vipers have detachable connecting pipes I guess they could be swapped for the right ones for the right model.

I contacted one of the sellers on ebay about the viper cans. They have seperate link pipes, when you order them you specify which model year and they supply the link pipes reuired. If I remember correctly they were £14 each, so remember to add the cost on to the price.

Oh I didnt get any by the way, 2 oval carbon cans + link pipes would have been over £320, I got a set of brand new Ducati Performance Carbon Oval cans for the same price. Cant fault the price for the regular SS round cans though.

Cheers

I mailed the viper people, and they have just realised their ebay advert is wrong. They dont have the correct interconnects for the Injection bikes.
PLEASE let me know if any of you stumble over some cans that are up for grabs

Natty sold me a lovely set of titanium pipes for my 800ss. They're too nice to go on the race bike so, they're going on the road bike for the time being. I have another set of carbon pipe for the race bike but, I'm gonna get me a set of these for the racer (handmade in the USA specially for the 800ss):

Just been quoted £364 for the Dp ally cans complete with the ecu malarky.
Sooooooooo What are they like?

Mine are nicely made. Fruity but, not too noisy. I'd prefer a bit more bark but, they shouldn't attract too much attention. I would recommend that you consider getting a Power Commander to set up the fuelling properly - I think these "uprated" ecu's probably don't have that much in the way of adjustment if any in them. A PC will allow you to tweak quite finely. Perhaps you can get the pipes cheaper without the ecu?

The DP Carbon cans were advertised on ebay by Bikers of Jersey. I have not seen them advertising any since but I have seen others come up for sale for similar money.

These pipes are via my local ducati dealer.
Not sure about the whole pc setup thing though, I guess I'd be happy with simple clean fuelling and a decent chunk of Baritone.

@900man

did your local dealer have them in stock?
I have tried ordering some and the dealers I contacted can't get them as they are discontinued. Any info would be appreciated as I am searching for cans for my 750SSie
