Went upto the Scottish Bike show, nice to see various local Ducati owners.

3.5 hour trip up on Friday, show on Sunday cancelled because of snow, trip home took 8 hours. What a crap trip back:(

The M74 was a nightmare. Still better than going northbound as it was completely closed.

The UK can't hack snow, the combination of goon drivers, wrong tyres and inept authorities equals recipe for going nowhere.

If the winters are more severe on a regular basis we'd better get used to it.

In the snowy bits of Europe snow tyres and or chains will get you most places even in a two wheel drive car.
Saw a road going super moto on studded knobblies on a recent trip!!

Ahh, snow, I remember riding home from my parents one Boxing Day about 1997/8'ish when the M25 looked like that for a few hours, there were lightweights abandoning cars all over the place and at times my trusty 900 Daytona was the only vehicle making progress, albeit on 2 wheels + 2 feet :sing:
It got a bit awkward when the car tracks petered out but Bridgestones leave a very pretty track in virgin snow. Didn't feel too clold until I got to the A3 which was totally dry and clear. You're right about snow in this country, we just can't cope, never mind it'll soon be Easter :burn:
