just a quick note to any first timers in DD this season.

its nearly upon us so if you have any queries at all feel free to ask and hopefully someone who knows will be along to help. even if you think its a stupid question dont be afraid to ask.

make sure you haven't forgotten anything obvious belly pans, lock wiring, numbers etc etc. and check your kit is likely to pass scruitineering; leather in good knick gloves long enough etc.

get any worries out of the way now before the day.

and good luck.

Thanks for the advice.
Questions from a novice then - Seems you mentioned keys, my bike hasn't got an ignition barrel i.e just works off the flick switch. Is this s problem?
Also is there a particular yello for the number boards and a particular colour for the numbers - sorry can't find my rules at the mo and have to tell a man what to make for me.

Cheers

OK I have found the number board info on the Desmodue site. Can't see anything to say no about the ignition barrel though so I suppose it's ok

So long as you've got a kill switch you can reach without taking your hand off the handlebars it's OK. Or suthin like that :) It's all I've got on mine anyhow.

ACU Rules - NO ALCOHOL.

Anyone failing a breath test will not be allowed on track.

Once the racing is finished, a beer with fellow (knackered racers) is well deserved and welcomed.

Its about as good as beer can taste. (and we shouldn't have any problems keeping it cold!!!!! ;)

You're joking ain't ya

If they did a test before morning practice, half the paddock would have to go home
