Headlight Rubber

Whats the correct way round for the headlight rubber?Fits better as 1st pic,but adjusting screws obstructed.As 2nd pic and its falling off:puzzled:

Or even a few tiny drops of super glue.

First. the flange buts nicely up to the inside of the nose fairing stoping any light spilling out and p#$ssing you off at night.
