Picked up my 900SS today :D but the Meta 357TV2 fitted is not working. I've already phoned the dealer and have arranged to take it back next weekend for them to have a look at, but if it is something simple, maybe I can fix it myself.

Any ideas?

I understand the battery on the bike was flat for some time while it was in the showroom, if that is any help?

Thanks - Simon.

Did you get it fixed? I have just bought a 999s with the same alarm (I think) and would be curious to know what the problem was/is?

No I haven't. I don't want to start fiddling around with it not knowing what I am doing, so I am taking back to the dealer this Saturday for them to have a look. I'll let you know what the outcome is.

It seems it might have blown a fuse? Does anyone know where this fuse it likely to be?

Thanks.

I've found the fuse and it has blown, so I'll pick up a new fuse tommorrow and hope for the best!

Changed the fuse last night and I now have a working alarm! I like it when things are that easy :D

Good stuff! Was the fuse next to the battery? I found that I have the same alarm on my 999s... Im liking it very much! I like the fact that the alarm sounds almost immediately upon being triggered by the movement sensor. Enjoy!

Yeh, I found the alarm itself and followed the wiring round and located an inline fuse tucked in behind the battery.

Haven't tested it as such yet, but it bleeps and the indicators flash, so I am assuming it does work properly!

Don't forget to open the unit and replace the PP3 NiMH battery inside. It's those poxy torx screws. Ebay sells the batts cheap enough, £3-5 plus P&P. If you don't...disconnecting the battery could disarm your bike alarm!! 5 x DZUS and an 8mm spanner!!
