It's 4 years to the day that I registered on this website

Just doesn't seem that long ago

Certainly made a lot of friends over that period and I am looking forward to meeting up with many of them over this summer starting with next Sunday for a ride down to meet the Hants group at Popham.

Be nice to think so, would help if some of my well written and thought about constructive posts didn't get trashed 10 minutes after I had posted them, when trying to bring a balanced educated view to a topic.
I have had more posts wiped out in the last 6 months than over the previous 3 1/2 years.

Still the weather is here now so less posting and more riding me thinks
Roll on Sunday and a ride down to Popham

I can't help if you have had some posts removed, because of other peoples actions. So please don't feel you were edited for what you said, because you were not. But, looking through the thread, If i was to remove the problem posts, and keep yours online, and a few others, the thread would make very strange reading.

Now, I'd like to abuse my position, and let you all see what Kev said.

I'm glad we had this system last year otherwise I would have been nowhere on my 583, if points were awarded only as far as 15th place I would have had only 3 point scoring rides which were two 14th places and a 13th which in other series would have given me 5 points and I was riding as hard as I have ever done, at the final round I actually lapped faster than I did two weeks ago when finishing with two 3rd places.

I don't ride for the points I ride to do better than I have done in the past, this can usually be measured in improving lap times, with improving laptimes you find you finish futher up the field ahead of slower riders, this then equates to more points, which is nice but its the laptimes I'm after.

With my ultimate target as better than a 1m 05s around Pembrey, I may never achieve it but i'll keep working toward that goal even if it is still 4 secs off the front runners in a SoT club race.

I still remember my first race weekend, 4 races, last in 3 of them and next to last in the other, I know I have improved since then but know there is still more to come, just takes longer when your in your mid 40's

4 years and you've not even got to 8000 posts

Mark, it just seems that the last few months things have got more contentious, yes it has something to do with the winter months, but the other winters weren't this bad
There has been a lot of unrest among the ranks and I have found myself defending the club on several occassions, something that didn't happen in the past as there was no need to.

And as for me registering on this forum, you can blame Scooter916 for that

Kev, Sorry you got caught in the crossfire, and it is appreciated the support, and the balanced opinions you share with us.

Go on, badger me why my 748 is not finished! Got any spare time, to kick my arse and get it finished

Likewise Skids, agree with your first post absolutely.

I registered just a few months later but my post count is only two thirds of yours. Must be because all mine are four pages long and full of blether

I wish I could stick to the point like you

Got there in the end Khush,
I still haven't seen your new bike yet (well what was your new bike a while back). Are then any events down your way (other than a Music festival held in a boggy field) worth doing a rideout to.

Thanks Tony, and thanks for you're help and support over the last year.

Seems strange, not seeing TP in bold!
