For some strange reason I thought rather than replace my 748 air filters with the same type I'd go for a performance air filter. This thing sits in the main air box under the tank and is a great hunk of foam with two holes cut into it that sit over the bellows ?. I managed to get it fitted, but I was wondering whether anyone else has heard of this brand. The filter was also dry where as some come coated in a solution to help catch the dust.
yes, its from John Hackett the Ducati Performance specialist, go look at www.ducaticoventry.com where you'll find some JHP info ...
If you are watching BSB at the mo, he is the man that runs JHP that builds Lavillas and Haslams bikes ..
I also have one, its fine. Enjoy.

Thanks for that. I got it fitted in the end.
Depends on the model of 748, if its an R I don't believe you can use the type of filter you mention.

Flanagaj !!!
You have the "old" type of filter, these have been superceded by the twin K&N type,
I think there were problems of these foam filter burning if there was a back fire in the air box.
What model 748 have you got?

Hello flanagaj
I fiited an ITG filter, and found it easier if you unscrew the rear belmouth, fit the difficult front one first, then refit the belmouth.
been using these filters for about four years.
