Michelin slicks

have bought a set of Michelin slicks but they are 67 profile rather than normal 55. Been told that this is the only profile they do.

Does anybody know if this is OK and whether they will fit with the hugger fitted.

I've run Michelin slicks with a 67 profile (180/67-17 I think) on a 916 with a hugger.
They were fine.
Got some for sale (worn and new) - and some wheels.

Within the size marking 18/67 - 17,

18 = nominal section width in centimetres
67 = nominal overall diameter in centimetres
17 = wheel size in inches

The 67 is NOT the aspect ratio/profile.

I have just come back from Spain with 3 days on track with those exact tyres and they were much better than road tyres much more grip/better braking great tyres just a shame you cant use them on the roads!!!!!

So Barry,

What do you have to do to a normal road track converted road bike to allow it to run slicks and what sort of recommendations do you make for someone wanting to do this?

Your obvious knowledge in this could be helpful to a lot of people who want to run slicks on track bikes this year, like me, maybe ;)
