Well it now appears that my Cadwell prang not only bent my discs, but also tweaked my lower fork caliper mount brackets on both forks and the front wheel spindle!

You see I fitted replacement 916? discs to the front wheel and it spins freely and discs are straight/fine without calipers fitted, but when the calipers are fitted then the wheel is clamped by the brakes. Both calipers do not appear to be hanging 'straight' ie slightly off the vertical - looking either side of the discs when viewing the gap between disc and caliper is different, not only from side to side but also top to bottom. The front spindle also appears to be tweaked as well!

So I'm on the hunt for a set of USD 620 Sport front forks and front wheel spindle asap.

I'm desperate as I need them for Brands this Sunday :D

Willing to travel to collect and pay a fair price.

Cheers
Glenn

I've got a straight spindle - when I spoke to Fil earlier he only mentioned the forks.....

Are you sure that the yokes are ok? When I picked up my front-end damaged monster the forks were fine but the yokes, spindle and disc were all slightly damaged and needed replacing......

And yes, I have a set of straight yokes that should fit.......

Well it looks like I'm sorted for some forks and borrowing a front spindle (thanks to twpd).

I should get them Friday, hopefully calipers will then line up correctly with the discs.

Ah balls, I assumed the yokes would be stronger than the forks.

I'm not sure on how to check the yokes - did you measure yours somehow, or prove they were bent by swapping with known good ones?
