View Full Version : Biposta to Single Seat Unit Swap: Advice Please
Hi,
Although my BP has a seat cowl fitted in place of the pillion pad, for some reason, it just doesn't look quite right, so I'm thinking of looking out on eBay for a single seat unit.
Is it a straight swap or does the subframe and/or locking mechanism need to be changed?
What sort of price should I expect to pay for a single seat unit?
Another related question - will the seat pad from a single seater fit a BP seat unit?
Thanks :)

OK, yeah you can fit a single to a BP subframe. Little mounting issue, but nothing much.
£250-300 roughly.
No because the pad would come up too high into the BP rear pad. But i rekon you could bodge it. You'd have to drill the mount points though.

I think a cost effective option would be to buy a seat unit from somewhere like ARD.

there's red ones on ebay from Japan. Just need drilling and bracketing up.
£80 painted.

£80! that's a steal.
i've just missed out on a minter on ebay, but i feel better now as it would have needed spraying in black anyway.
