I'm trying to get a 749 back on the road. When I bought it, it had no timing belt on the horizontal cylinder, and I don't know how to get TDC. Can anybody tell me where the dots should all be pointing on the timing pulleys?
I bought a manual off ebay, and guess which pages were missing?:puzzled:
bloomin heck you dont want to get that wrong:o

You're right there. It's one of those things that's easy when you know how. I wish I new how.

Usually some alignment marks on the head somewhere.
I have a 999 manual on CD.;)

There is only one obvious mark for the drive pulley, but I'm not sure where the camshaft pulleys should be facing.
Is the manual small enough to email?

U2U is on it's way. Thanks
They dont have any marks on the pullies/heads as Ducati use locking tools in the end of the cams to get right position
