Started last season not knowing if I'd come first or last.

2005
First race came 7th - thought it just wasn't possible to do any better. Considered giving up.
Second race came 6th - thought it just wasn't possible to do any better. Considered giving up.
Last race came 5th - thought it wasn't possible to do any better. Considered giving up.

2006
First race - Considered giving up.
Second race came 4th - now it really isn't possible to do any better. The top spots are only there for the ones among us with years of experience. Considered giving up.

Conclusion: It's ALWAYS possible to do better - NEVER GIVE UP TRYING!

The brands DD paddock atmosphere was absolutely brilliant, made all the effort and cost worthwhile, it was exactly what the series is about - if you're put off by the 'out of hours' politics, just come and see how we live in the paddock and it'll change your view completely!

Great post Nick, and well done on your podium. You certainly deserve it and you've proved that sticking with it and working hard can pay dividends. I'm sure you'll win more this season too.

Well Nicholas you can do it. I always said you would do well. A third place is just the start. There is absolutely no reson why you cant win , whether an incident like there could have been in the wet with two front runners battling it out or you just getting more skilled and courageous. Everybody in bsb or wsb wants to get on podium and then winning is all that matters. You deffo have the ability to do that. Well done fella and keep trying. Sees you soon eh !

Well the point of the thread was to encourage anyone who's thinking they're stuck in a hole, like I was, that with perseverance you CAN do it!
But thanks for the kind words... and yes eric, the win is my next target!

Tell yu mate if you wanna learn how to get out of a hole try riding off at paddock to six foot from the barrier then paddle back to the track :lol::lol::lol:
