Brake hoses

Im looking to change the brake lines as i still have the original ones fitted,

which make of braded ones would you recomend?

how much should i be looking to pay for them?

Goodridge, HEL, Earls, Woods, etc all are recognised brands.

Just make sure they know yours is an upside down rear caliper.

just a word of caution about goodridge hoses.I know lots of people have them fitted with no problem.However i know of three cases where they supplied brake lines that had the wrong ends fitted and it was not noticiable to the naked eye.when it all goes wrong as in my case it did they tell you its your responsibility and leave you high and dry with no brakes.

That is surprising...do you have any more details of your own experience please?

As a byline - just today I recieved a rear hose for my bike and it is SEVEN inches too long (no jokes please, so much is going wrong now it just aint funny).

However the manufacturer was very good in response but wants me to try it first, time will tell...

That's the opposite problem I had when I got a rear brake hose for the 900ss - I got sent one that was much too short.
Up to 1994 the rear caliper is mounted above the wheel spindle, from '95 on it is underslung and needs the longer cable.
Make sure you specify which it is when ordering.
