HELP !

Pro-Twins can't fit me in for a service until the end of the month......but I'll be heading off to IOM then......Ideally wanted the bike serviced/fettled/sorted before I went.

Can anyone suggest an alternative (and don't dare say P&H !)

I'm near Haywards Heath.

Anyone had any experience of Motori Di Marino over in West Chiltington ?

Any feedback will be of help.

May even turn up to a DSC meet in Findon when I'm back from the Island ! :burn:

Ta alot.

Do the oil change yourself, the rest is not time/mileage dependant!! Book it in at your leisure, you are the customer!

My mate had his 996R serviced at Motori di Marino - he's not mentioned anything negative about them.
What service are you after - full belt and top end or just a oil/filter/plugs service?
If the latter I would just do that myself.

You could try MotoRapido in Winchester - they are brilliant (that's where I go).

Good luck - RX

Try Alf's in Worthing, they are not Ducati dealers, but they know their stuff and used to race Dukes... 01903 200948

quick question to Dibble on servicing

When Mike in Ewell did your servicing...what did you have done 12k? and sorry to ask. How much. (just for a guideline)

plus where is he in Ewell (West, East)?

I am on Epsom downs and want some one who is technically proficient to do the shims/ more advance part of the servicing and prefers cash (if you know what I mean) ;)

cheers

Mike in Ewell is my choice. Top man. Great setup he has. Done my 996 a couple of months ago.
Used to use pro twins, but mike gets my vote now.

Peter Di Marino used to build race ducati's in the bevel days for Pineways. Been around a long time and well respected among the bevel crowd

Pietro down in West Chiltington has fettled my Guzzis and Dukes for over 15 years and I have never had a problem with any of his work.

Thanks very much guys....much appreciated.

Will get on the dog & bone tomorrow & see who can fit me in first.

For info:

P&H : Saw an EXUP slide forward on a slope & then topple over off of it's sidestand in the car-park at the back. There were 5 mechanics sitting on the wall eating their lunch - not one of them got up to help the bloke pick the bike up. (minus mirror, footpeg, indicator etc). On another visit I was after some bits for the GPz900R - they didn't have whatever I wanted so I asked whether 'Felbridge Superbikes' would be worth a try, they said definately - when I got there they were closed....and had been for 6 months. Not funny.

Type of service I need ?

The big one.......eeek ! 9,500 miles - last serviced 2-3 years ago (I bought the bike last August). Belts, shims, fluids etc.

Brett at ProTwins gave me the run down of what needed to be done/looked at and approximate costs. :o

Accordingly, I've sold the kids on e-bay and put the wife on the game. Still....it'll be worth it.
:D

Thanks again. I'll let you all know how I got on.
