Thinking of selling my pride and joy of 6 years. What should I be hoping to get for her.

1997 748 bip in the faster red colour.

18,800 gentle miles.

Loved and nurtured all the time I've had her.

2nd owner.

Full service history.

2 new pirellis on.

to be sold with a years mot and taxed to end Sept.

extras include

carbon termis plus chip
carbon hugger
carbon clutch cover
carbon swingarm cover
carbon chain guard
braided hoses

Originals for all the above where applicable supplied with the bike.

No marks anywhere on it bar some very very minor stone chipping on the top fairing.

What do you reckon for a private sale?

Flog it as a std bike dude and then sell the extras on EBay or here. You will get more in the end. What are you going for next?

As for the price itself....no idea but, there's plenty of good 748's out there for not much money so, you might get a shock. Dukes are no longer as fashionable as they were once which, means residuals are getting hammered. :sniff:

I was thinking of splitting the stuff up and selling separately (still might).

I know I'm in for a shock. I was hoping maybe 3,500 as is it's gotta be the best you could expect for it's age.

I'm after a 998 but think funds will only stretch to a 996.
