So we have...

Ducati Club Nederland - Assen (Holland)
Superbike Grand National - Castle Combe (UK)

How about trying to add events like...

FestivalITALIA - Oschersleben (Germany)
Goodwood Festival of Speed - Goodwood (UK)
Ducati Speed Week - Pannoniaring (Hungary)

Take the Desmo Due series to festival type weekends away, rather than drab club meetings?

Thinking about it...

Goodwood would be great, it's only 15 mins away and I can get my own private test days (it's not what you know... ;) )

European tour would be magic, worth splashing out the cash to do it!
A ducati event like Assen/Oschersleben/Pannoniaring would slot nicely in the calendar too.

Shall we lobby the riders reps?

I can get a Mugello round sorted too - I have my tic tacs ;)

Laguna Seca is an awesome track ;) ;)

On a more realistic note the Spanish tracks are cheap and accessible, Cartagena would be a perfect DD track ;)

I think Assen was unbelievable-fantastically-brilliant but I'm not sure I could afford to take part to an European DD championship made of several rounds like this...

So why not just enjoying the memories we got from what seems to be one of our best ever race meetings and looking forward to it next year? It's not Christmas every day guys, but that's life :(

Your Lordship, my I suggest then you purchase Europe, and call it Surrey. That way my Lord, you won't get those nose bleeds.

Talking to the japanese Over Racing guys in the hotel, they seemed to think a Suzuka round would be possible at the euro festival. Bearing in mind that I shipped my Landy halfway round the world for $500, I think this is a goer. Flights might be a touch pricey but it's not something we'd be doing regularly.

This would make it:

Ducati Club Nederland - Assen (Holland)
Superbike Grand National - Castle Combe (UK)
FestivalITALIA - Oschersleben (Germany)
Goodwood Festival of Speed - Goodwood (UK)
Ducati Speed Week - Pannoniaring (Hungary)
European Bike Festival - Suzuka (Japan)

Tim/Skids, can you put this forward for next year and maybe we can get to half of these events in '07 and the rest in '08?

Thanks,

Ali

How much does a UK round cost?

£200+

A euro round is only £250-300

8 UK rounds = £1600 (+ tyres/consumables)

So why not do 5 Euro rounds for the same money???

:eureka:

Suzuka can be like 2007's 'Special' round :D

LOL... Suzuka would need some sponsorship. But the organisers might be interested...?

I know of many teams who have had their bikes shipped out, hotels provided and flights paid for... but whole grids?
