First off hello all, a recent convert to the ranks of Ducati after changing in my GSXr750 K4 for a nice shiny 749 a good choice i think.
The comfort seat i have read about somewhere but can't remember where. After the return from the BSB at Oulton Park the other day to Bucks this item is now the holy grail !
:o
Welcome! Can't comment on the seat, I'm sure someone will be along in a minute.
Pint of Guiness please. Ta.

HI Leeeeeel,
ive got a comfort seat fitted to my bike and it makes a big difference to the distance i was able to ride when i had the bike on the road, and as a bonus it lifts you up a touch and gives you a bit more leg room as well

I think it's called a Technosel seat and it's in the DP catalogue.

there are two seats, the tecnosel is a race derived seat for grip. there is another on that is obviously padded more for comfort...........

Thanks guys had another long blast at the weekend and was sooooo glad when the fuel light came on. The other customers must have giggled in the garage at my john wayne walk up to the till !
I have a Sargent seat on my 749R, It has a carbon look to it and is very comfortable, cost £200 though !!!

A thorough internet search reveals very little have to manually ring around i think !
Must say that I rode for eight days straight, and for about 7 hours every day on my 748 and my arse didn't really hurt. A little discomfort on the motorway, but otherwise I was so rarely still, it wasn't a problem. Move around on the seat more!
Anyways, hope you get it to your liking.
i agree with ath748, i've had 3 weeks from 6-12 hrs in the saddle (749) and it was fine apart from really hot weather. i thought my wrists and backside would go in the first day but it turned out they didn't really hurt at all, it was the tops of my arms that ached. btw i'm 6'2
Try a pair of quality padded cycling shorts under your leathers, you would be very surprised at the difference they make!!!!
