View Full Version : Cush Drive Wear - a warranty item?

Hi all

I recently bought a second 998S for racing (pics to follow soon). Last night, I was disassembling the rear sprocket unit, and found the cush drives in a pretty sorry state, with most of the posts having become displaced from the rubbers.

The bike is still under warranty and has 5,500 miles on it. Should I be able to claim for these? If not, does anyone know the price of a full set?

Cheers

.....this would go down to normal wear and tear I reckon, maybe they should last a bit longer but I reckon it'd be tough to put in a warantee claim!!

As for price - ? Give Snells a call, they're always extremely helpful - 01420 84480

I would *hope* that they would be replaced under warranty - after all, 5500 miles is not very much at all really.

You might want to try a few Ducati dealers to get their opinion, but it will be Ducati UK who have the final say.

You can get replacement cush drives for £40 for a set of 5 at http://www.tecmoto.co.uk/
