I wonder if someone could help.

I am just about to lay my hands on some G&G cans (Who are they I hear?) and a stage 1 chip (as suggested by Giovanni at RedRacing).

Fitting the pipes is reasonsably straightforward I guess(?) but I a bit concerned about the tuning. after I fit the prom. Is there a lot of messing about? Did I need a power commender or equivalent?

I have just fitted ducati performance cans to my ST4. I then went to see Phil at Italia
Moto at Lincoln. Alas the chip ordered in for mine was faulty so another one was ordered, But I watched what went on.
the chip was fitted, then the injectors were
balanced and then they adjusted a screw inside the cpu to alter the C0 reading.
:D

As marko says,if you are not sure, get the bike booked into a dealers to get the chip fitted and the injection set up.
The bike will run with just the standard chip, maybe on the weak side.Just dont run it on full throttle till its sorted.

Hey fatduke11111,

Have you ordered the cans yet??

Only reason I ask is that I had some G&G's delivered new in June - only did a few hundred miles on them and I need to sell the bike. I have the originals and could let these go for half what I paid. Full titanium jobbies 'n all!!!!!

Nevermind Fatduke11111,

I thought RedRacing were pretty good to deal with - delivered within 25 days and advised by e-mail as they were being dispatched etc.

Don't know what type you've ordered but my titanium ones are ***kin loud. So much so that they set the neighbours car alarm off when I start up and all that sort of thing. (Having said that, this is part of the reason I brought them:lol:).

I subsequently sent off for some inserts from RedRacing which are great - just about tone it down enough to be acceptable. They fit snugly in to the end of the cans and stay put with a M5 capscrew.

You'll notice the difference with the feel of the bike; the G&G's are so much lighter that the standards

Enjoy!!

Peeps,

Can you point me at suppliers of aftermarket headers for an ST4s. I'd also be interested in a used standard set if anyone has em.
