Bike this month has a freebie disc which has trailer for this plus clips and also proper footage of Burt Munro.

The bit about Burt seems old judging by the get up the people are in but maybe they still dress like that over there? Perhaps sbwells can confirm this?

Interesting though as a lot of the things he says in the documentary are included in the film, eg "You live more in 5 minutes on a motorcycle than some people live in a lifetime". He also wears a t shirt saying "Even dirty old men need loving".

DVD out beginning of July....

Yeap they sure do mate. Fashion has only found Southland in the last couple of years.

You should see the looks I get when out on the Duc in the one piece Ducati leathers. Everyone thinks the aliens have landed

Saw the film when we were in the USA in March, it's absolutely fantastic. Thanks for the heads up, I'm off out for a copy of Bike to see the original footage :)

I bought the DVD yesterday and watched it last night. It's not a bad film but I was a little disappointed after the rave reports but then this is often the case with a lot of new films.
Hopkins performed well without a doubt.

Munro died in '78 hence the footage of him looking old. It is old.
