All,

Just had confirmation that vidoeMove can make our own double DVD from the practice and racing at Assen!!!

They will do all they can to include all racers in the footage, as well as the interviews and other relevant highlights of the event.(not other racing)

I have a promo DVD of there's and it is very good quality.

It would take two weeks to produce, so say four to get it to us.

But first we need to front the cash, 1500eu plus tax?

So if we sell 50 at £30 that should cover it.

Thoughts?

i would have one or more to make this a goer. i would imagine anyone there would want one. it was a superb event and to have a dvd of the race would be great.

Maybe I'll sort out a form for people to complete at Oulton trackdays / race etc.

It's a non starter if we can't get a commitment for at least 30 sales.

Nice work on the tax issue Ali, off shore action....nice....

How many raced at Assen - 40?

Just sent a reply asking about further details and ensuring footage of all not just Domski having a boring race in front!

I will contact the RReps in each class to get an email sent to all competiors who attended asking for a yes/no commitment to this.

I have asked could we have a listing of all riders names and sponsors included in the footage, maybe over a slo mo of said rider in action, maybe encourgae the sponsors to buy one!?

Any other production ideas to make it great and good value to all?

If they have anyone that can put the grid graphics up to show where people qualifed.

Like in WSB/BSB/GP etc when the graphic slides along showing each row etc.

That way everyone gets their name on the telly too.

I got a DVD of me in CB500 and it's nice to have all the names going across the screen - espec 8 years on. Brings back great mammories!#

Incidently, I wasn't being all boring up front - at least not in my head - it was a scary place to be for 20 mins I can tell you!!!

Update -

We have 20 requests - that makes this too expensive per person.

I have spoken to Videomove and they are looking to reduce the costs from 1500eu to something more affordable. We need to be able to front the cash in total prior to production.

The following have not responded yes/no to wanting a DVD.

If we can get to 30 cash committed requests, and a reduced price Video move will start production.

I will try and get an email sent to all Assen races to get a definite CASH commitment from all, I can't afford to carry this can.

They are in the middle of producing the event DVD at the moment...shouldn't be long to wait.

Just out of curiosity, I can't help wondering if there is a resource within the club members to do this 'in-house'.

As an example, Guido did a superb Cadwell Video / DVD a few years ago - he's now a very busy man of course with his photography but, might there be someone else with the expertise / equipment to a good job?

i would very much doubt it. they had 6-8 fixed camera positions around the track and are a very professional outfit. doubt anyone would even get access to the circuit. we couldnt even get an 'official' DD photographer there.

I will be putting an update in Pronto and a request to place a firm order with me directly to ensure this DVD happens.

Videomove are very keen to make this happen, the MT are supporting it, all we need is a firm commitment to buy from everyone ASAP.

No need to do anything yet, I will send all Assen racers an email requesting your commitment and all others can reply via Pronto or direclty to me and I will send info.
