Hello everyone, I am a new member here hoping to find information on my 748

My fist question is regarding engine whining noise. I can hear a realy high whining noise following my RPM range in nuetral or in gear, it is driving me crazy. It is soooo loud I can hardly hear my motor. I have changed my timing belts and changed the sprockets but this has not helped? Has anyone ever experienced this?

Also I can hear the bottom end of my engine crank case knocking a bit. I am going to asume I need a rebuild? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks

Ah,sounds like its knackered mate,..get rid and get yourself a nice 999.;) (Well this is the 749/999 board!)
But seriously tho,
Very difficult to diagnose noise faults without actually hearing them.If the bottom end is knocking it could be the dreaded oil gallery plug has dropped out.The main bearings get starved of oil and bingo its full engine rebuild time. Why not take the bike over to an expert like Nelly at Cornerspeed fot a propper diagnosis?
