anyone tell me what size socket I need for the alternator nut? had it apart today but forgot to look. derr ID10T.

I thinks its 32mm but could be 30mm I will go and check

It's 30mm for the alternator nut
it's the clutch nut that's 32mm

I think you'll need a deep socket to do it right though?

yep, sure will, I do have one and I've ordered a crank locking tool from ebay, so should all be good, thanks chaps

With the holding tool it's not that bad a job. Just make sure you seal the casings properly. I managed not to and suffered a seep for ages.
