I know we're not past Oulton yet, but looking ahead at possible Donington trackdays before the DD round on August 13th, I came across this very interesting link:

https://www.live-store.com/products/product.aspx?catid=8&relcatid=0&cat=Track+Attack&relcat=&id=81&shopid=1

A track day on August 12th? So how's that work then? Does it mean race practice, qualifying and racing is all squeezed into one day like at Oulton?

You mean qualifying (10 mins) and racing.

No such thing as practice ;)

It's also a road silenced trackday (98db) - to stop people who are racing from doing it.

Great innit

Weeeeeeellll.......... I'd slip a road exhaust or DB killers back on for this day if it was actually happening. I've emailed for someone to confirm.

It's also not the GP circuit - so no Melbourne Loop.

Just wanted to say that I confirmed with Donington Park that this day is on, so it looks like the New Era race meeting is only a one day affair.

Even though I'll need to fit dB killers or my road exhaust, and this day doesn't include the Melbourne Loop which will be raced on the following day, I went ahead and booked. Making a weekend of it seemed to make sense, and I won't need another day off work for a trackday!

I could very well be wrong! I had that idea in my head anyway, so it could just be wishful thinking :-)

According to my entry form it's the National circuit we're using, not the full circuit.

Well that's perfect then! Looks like I was wrong. Thanks Domski.

That last section of the GP circuit it rubbish. Stupid, tight chicane, stupid tight hairpin, stupid tight, off camber Goddards.....don't like it

Anyway, I'm up for a trackday before the race, haven't been there since the end of last year :)
