May be looking for a solicitor to handle the sale and purchase of a house. The solicitor that the building society has recommended wants almost a £1,000 in fees plus all the disbursements.

Looking on the net there are solicitors offering a similar services for around £500.

So, any recommendations for a cost effective conveyance ? Any legal eagles on here fancy doing the work for less than a £1,000 plus disbursements. I’d rather agree a deal and spend the money with a fellow Ducati owner.

You can always do it yourself. I did it a number of years ago. I bought a book called the conveyanceing fraud. The first time I did it was just to sell my house. It worked really well so I did it again when I only had to purchase a house. The sting was the solicitor acting on behalf of my building sociecty, wanted £350.00 to check my paperwork was all in order. It would have took him all of 5 mins and I refused to pay. He wouldn't release the paperwork so the BS wouldn't release the money. He'd got me over a barrell and knew it. Never have I wanted to chin a person so much
