Normal DSC rideout isn't it?? Top half of the speedo didn't get much use though.

Must try harder!

Yorkie.

Surely you must mean on a motorway?
IME when riding with other (DSC) riders, the accent was on straight line speed bordering on ridiculous, corners were taken after halving the life of the brake pads.

dont think it was that easy...looked to me like the 999 pulled distance out of corneres and the 600 made up in braking...think same guy on both bikes 999 would have disappeared

Hmmmm...well, as far as the first guy goes I know from video taken from a rally car that TV doesn't give a very good idea of speed, so it's difficult to judge.

It's also difficult to see the clocks and the speedo is gonna be in K's anyway but count the gear he's in and watch the rev counter. For the most part he's in 3rd and 4th (maybe the odd dabble with 5th on a straight bit) and by my reckoning he's revving the engine at approx 7-8K for most of the time except a couple of occassions when he keeps it pinned in 1st and 2nd.

The other thing is that even though the speedo is in K's the mechanism is the same it's only the numbers on the scale that are different. Put all that together and it seems to me that he's doing somewhere between 60 and 80 most of the time with the odd squirt up to 90-100. Seems about right from the closing speed of oncoming traffic and his closing speed as he comes up behind stuff.

The road is not that technical either so I reckon he's stretching it a bit to call himself an "Abnormal, crazy driver"
