Just had to let all those who have wished me luck in my various law exams know that I've just found out I've passed my Legal Practice Course so thanks for all the support and good wishes, they worked.
Not going on to qualify as a solicitor, which basically involves a training contract and being a complete scivvy for 2 years, being paid a pittance and doing all the ***** jobs. I've set up my own business instead and now feel ready to launch headlong into that.
So, the drinks are on me (only taking orders for champagne though)

Won't be dealing with criminal offences, I'm afraid FE Wills and Probate (free Probate assistance as it's a criminal offence for a non-solicitor to charge for work connected with Probate applications - nice bit of legislation designed by solicitors, for solicitors). DSC discounts available at the usual 10%.
I'm on a mission to offer good value legal services to people as an alternative to using a solicitor in this area of law. Anti-establishment, moi?

Even though we have not met, congratulations all the same, I'm sure you worked very hard.
:)
Well done Ruth. Does this mean that you are now legitimate?
I agree with you about soliciting, it's a waste of time...I hung around outside Tesco's for a whole day once asking all the women that came past "have you got the time deary....wink,wink" but nobody was interested, not even the pensioners.
