View Full Version : More speculation on 999 replacement.
Best looking cgi pic so far.
Looks a bit 'Japanese' tho!

Is this an accurate pic or just a guess at what it might look like ?
Looks like the spawned offspring of a 999 and the Desmo to me.
I do like it though, although the front looks a bit oversized.
These photochops are quite annoying - they are the result of some one at MCN trying to decide on the best bits of 3 different bikes and sticking them together......it doesn't give Ducati any credit for having a design team to come up with a new model design.

Isn't that the Desmosedici bit?

I don't like it. The single swinger looks dated and the R1 nose isn't good for an Italian bike. I can't see it looking too much like the D16RR as I'm sure Ducati will want to keep that bike exclusive. I reckon the true 1100 will look more similar to the current 999.
It's not right - All it needs is a multicoloured paint job to give it the full oriental look.....

Rubbish...and maybe its me, but how the hell can an italian bike be 'inspired ' by a friggin R 1 ???!!
Yeah not nice -looks like a H***fireplace
Sure it wont look like a computer generated thing though

If you are reading this and you work for MCN, stop printing utter ****e about a bike you can only speculate about just to fill column space. Yet again you have simply lashed up a picture with extracts from the Desmosedici front end, the airbox from a 916 and to top it off you have 5 spokes on the back and tens on the front, plus if you bothered to pay attention you will have seen from the photos in the Italian press that the test mule sports twin pipes and not the existing 999 back end you have pasted into the photoshop image. You claim it's a Japanese magazine's work but you take the credit each time for being "first" with the news and labelling it as a scoop. If you want to print something try something novel for a change and print something factual rather than farcical.
I like many others eagerly await news of the 999 replacement, but I hate being fed tripe in the meantime. MCN take note and turn your paper into a NEWS paper and less of a weekly comic.
