Essex - Fake Cash Machine Front at Tescos in Chelmsford

People are being urged to check their bank accounts after police seized a cloning device from a cash machine at a supermarket in Chelmsford, Essex.
The device, which copies account details, was found on Saturday at Tesco in Springfield Road by security guards.

An Essex Police spokesman said there was a sender unit, camera and false front attached to the cash machine nearest to the entrance at the store.

Cant say as i didnt warn you, but this is rife...............take care with your cards everywhere.......never let them out of your sight! And before putting them in a cash machine check all around it for a fake front and or a camera stuck, generally in a metal strip above the key board area.

These days they dont even need this kit.................a microwave reader near to the cash point can get the card details alledgedly......so also look out for any people sitting in a parked car near to the cash point.........

I used that machine a couple of weeks ago and regularly use the ones at the other Tesco.
