Ins. for cars taking into account bike experience

I have been on a bike for 8yrs have 5 yrs ncd. I am doing my car test soon for 3rd time and hope its 3rd time lucky:lol:lol

Are they any insurers that take into account my bike experience/ncd as the prices im getting are silly for a car when i can insure my k1200r for half!

Or any insureres that do both car n bike as mine is up for renewal end of Sept.

Perhaps its just a case of first year car insurance is expensive, i know if i had licence for a year it drops quite a bit even if youve not driven and have no ncd seems mad!!

Bike insurance ncb etc doesn't count for anything if you want to insure a car unfortunately as i found out

can i suggest elephant.co.uk i got my car insured with no ncb for under £250 fully comp

Very funny andy lol, last time was so bad i only got 2 minors and he failed me on he reckons me not stopping properly at a stop junction, seemed as though he was trying to find something to fail me on its his word against mine.

some one i know in the know also said if they pass to many they have to fail some as mine was at the end of the week to! oh well 3rd time lucky lol

and i got the chance of 1.8 scirroco to drive foc to but seems the engine size makes it high price to insure!!!

For the purpose of the test, and in fact good practice, a stop sign should be treated as such...STOP!

Even if you can see its clear to continue and pull straight out.............STOP! ( what the highway code says!!!

I believe on the test they will deliberatley take you past one of these to do just this.

So, think about it, If you come up to a Stop sign,use the Opportunity to showboat your knowledge. STOP at the sign regardless. Put the handbrake on, however momentarily, and STOP!. The when clear pull away.

The putting of the handbrake on generally is the sign they are looking for in a car. On a bike a similar sign is signified by you putting your foot down at the stop sign.

lol i know what ur saying andy the thing is i did several through out test and i cant argue it as what he says goes like i said just seemed like i had to fail or he had to find something he could fail me on which leaves me to think they do have to keep pass numbers down.

even my insturctor was like omg basically the examiner could have passed but didnt want to and doesnt realise the expense time or worry i got again now!

lol yeah end of Sept is my 3rd attempt as i said before i feel i was robbed last time but not much i can do about it. and i had same examiner for both attempts to how wierd!

I know from commuting on bike to in morning i would be a more aware driver than any of them i see in rush hour and they passed lol

Bitter moi ? never lol, hehe course they are totally different im now a better biker because i know how to drive and know where things like blindspots are in a car etc.
