Hi Everyone, can anyone confirm a fried clutch for me please. Riding along the M4 and noticed i was losing speed but rev`s were staying the same, pulled onto hard shoulder put the bike into first gear and tried to pull away, @3000rpm clutch lever fully released i barely crept forward. Never had a clutch go on me be4 but it seems like the logical problem, confirmation please :)

Yep pretty much sounds that way. Once the fairings are off you only need 2 Allen keys (5mm for the cover and 4mm for the pressure plate springs) to dismantle the clutch plates and take a look.
Although dirty or warped plates may have an effect.

Just checking you haven't recently changed the clutch lever as this can often lead to clutch slipping issues

cheers Dunlop can`t believe how easy that was to take out, it`s fried. Next Q, can u recommend a good clutch or stick with Ducati parts?

Depends on budget. If the steel plates are not discoloured and not warped just buy the friction plates. Start at around 70 quid on the bay for non Ducati.

yeah plates are pretty discolored so i`ll replace the lot, not my bike so don`t wanna take any chances. Approx £200 on ebay, sound about right?

I put an Alloy pack in my 900ss from an ST4S, expensive as they were Ducati OEM but a nice improvement.
