Anybody using an oversize clutch slave cylinder?

I've been looking at the alternative clutch slave cylinders on offer has anybody got any thoughts on which is the best quality, price and reduction in clutch pressure.

The only options I've found are STM, Tecmoto or evoluzione.

i'm using a Tecmoto one.Bloody excellent.Didn't stop me fitting a radial clutch cylinder though!!:DI think Nelly at Cornerspeed does a really good one as well.

Jasper are you using the newer style stm slave cylinder?

Tecmoto sell one for £150 did you buy it from them?

Just designed and had my own made and from the initial feedback people seem to be happy with them.
Can't comment on how the lever compares to others but it is lighter but still retains good feel.
The piston is a 3 seal arrangement, the pushrod sits in a bearing and the unit is pretty much sealed from any dirt or chain gloop messing things up. In silver machine finish or anodised black.
£100 plus banjo/bleed bolt if required.

how much difference does it make, can you operate the clutch with the same amount of pressure as a cable operated clutch?

I need to get a decent reduction in the pressure required as since the accident I've lost most of the movement in my left hand little finger. You'd be amazed at how much of the work your little pinky actually does.

The slave makes a HUGE difference in the effort needed to actually pull the lever.I'm not sure if it is up to the level off a cable,it certainly will be if you change the master as well.£££££.But certainly worth it.

Hi, i just brought a tecmoto slave cylinder and must say it does make a difference, but still not as light as a cable clutch,but it does help. Hope this help a little.

so which type of master cylinder will make the most difference? Would the Brembo or AP billet master cylinders be any good?

I do not know about the AP one,but i've fitted the Brembo one and it's like a different bike when it comes to using the clutch.Pity you are not closer to me,'cos you would be more than welcome to give it a try.These are of course my opinions,i don't know what other people have tried.

I've had a Yoyodyne slave on my 916 for a few years and am very pleased with it. The reduced effort has saved a lot of wear and tear on my wrist. One thing I've noticed with larger bore aftermarket units is that they are very sensitive to proper bleeding as they tend to reduce the overall throw of the pushrod. If improperly bled it becomes difficult to find neutral due to clutch plate drag.

I can vouch for Nelly's at Cornerspeed good quality kit.
Much reduced clutch action and a lot smoother and piece of p*ss to fit.

I've got the evoluzione one and again. It's excellent quality and does help wit the lever pressure.

Guaranteed for 10 years against the dreaded and infamous leaks too (Are the others????).

did you get the slave cylinder from a stockist in the uk or direct from evoluzione?

I got it direct from Evoluzione in the states. Came within about 4 days. Cracking service and the MD was real helpful when I had Q's about fitting it.

Try Nelly at Cornerspeed first. He does do some Evoluzione stuff and may have them.

I got mine before he was in business.
