View Full Version : Embedding a YouTube clip into your Post

I've now added some "BB Code" tags which will allow you to embed a YouTube clip into your post.

To do this, you need to click on the "Share" link below the video on the YouTube page, so you see the link to the video, and then copy this:

https://www.ducatisportingclub.com/images/misc/youtube_link.jpg

Now paste this link into your post. Your link should look something like this:

http://youtu.be/nV3qDSYwqPM

You need to remove the http://youtu.be/ part, to leave you with just the unique video id, like this:

nV3qDSYwqPM

Now highlight this unique id and click the YouTube button in the bar above the edit window.

This should now convert it into the correct format with "YT" BB Code wrapped around it, like this:

https://www.ducatisportingclub.com/images/misc/youtube_bbcode.jpg

And when you now Submit your post, the board will magically convert this into a YouTube embed!

You can also add the YT tags yourself with the unique video code (as shown in the above example) if you prefer.
