...but I asked a question to the webteam that remains unanswered?
Sorry Harv, the answer is on going. We're having a slight problem with a user group. But, be assured we're onto it.

Harv,
Sorry that the post needed removing before I got around to posting a reply.
The abusive user was instantly warned by the webteam as soon as the post and complaint were recieved.
Due to the seriousness of the abuse it was deemed that the Abuser would have his posts moderated straight away but for technical reasons that has not worked as it should of done and the abuser was able to post again last night.
Our apologies go to Weeksy for not keeping him informed of this but we were busy searching for a solution - I believe exactly the correct actions were taken but can see why it might be thought we were not taking the event seriously enough - which is certainly not the case.
Regards - Frank
Thanks for the speedy response Frank.

Thanks for that Frank/Mark.
So, can I ask what someone has to do to be banned from posting?
This is not a loaded question...I'm genuinely interested. Is it mearly down to the WT/MT or is there some system in place...i.e. 2 strikes and your out?
From a personal point of view, I see no reason why the person who originated the message should be allowed to post anymore...full stop.
Are we suggesting that this form of abuse and negativity to others is acceptable?
And, can I ask how are 'contributiors posts' monitored...I mean, is it down to someone reading everything they post before its posted? Are all of their posts held in a quarentine before being approved...what if the person posts when non of the web team are online?
Genuine questions
See fourm rules, then
Three steps for non members, warning, post moderating, ban.
Members, as above, plus report to MT requesting membership revoked at ban stage.
Sorry for being brief, I'm male, and i'm multi tasking! (i wish i had Jools keyboard skills!)

Sorry, I must be short of thinking today Mark... I clicked on 'Forum Rules' at the head of this page but can see no mention of the these three steps. Can you point out which paragraph covers it please?

Perhaps these eminently sensible rules can be incorporated in the Forum Rules section at an early date, for the avoidance of doubt.
Unless we all have to vote on this, first?
Their not rules, they are guidelines for the WT to follow when taking action. There have been comments made that actions have not been even.
