That;s the podium sorted then - who else - C'mon.

Its gonna be a great few days - all the DD B'sheet you could possibly imagine, all in one place at the same time!!! And none on here !! - did I hear cheering at the back!!!????? ;)

I'll be taking my laptop and 3G connection so we'll be able to keep everyone informed of how much fun we're having!! - or just be there yourself.

Looks really, really good and a great way to start the track year.

I might be up for it. What day is the latest to arrive is it the 23rd?
No time off for skiing or early arrival:(

26-Oct-2006, 00:24
You can arrive on Saturday morning if you want to.

We'll all be there, but nothing stopping you flying out Saturday morning and arriving lunchtime?

Still got 2.5 days on track, which will be far too much for anyone in all fairness.

Looking at my shift rota for next year the 23rd is my last night in (6pm-6am). It's too early for me to book any days yet. I will see if I can get the 22&23 off.
What's the details for getting you bike there?

domski
26-Oct-2006, 00:48
OK, well it's to be confirmed, but it looks like the company that deal with it (MCM Motofreight) will do a national collection to a motorway services near you (ish). It's fully insured etc and there is room for tyres, spares and all your bike kit.

The collection is likely to take place the weekend before the event, and the drop off, the following weekend.

Something along those lines.

Bike transport and Hotel included in the £450 (approx) price.

Hi Guys, just back from Mugello. Was there Thursday morning 'til today - and these events are non-stop for us so thanks for your patience. Everyone who has mailed or called is put in chronological order for us to get back to so hang in there please... I've had about 20 messages from various people so we'll still need another 20 to green light it but it's looking good! Mugello is absolutely awesome. 200 participants from all over Europe, 7 races, Red flags? 1, for 5 minutes. Doesn't matter who you go with - just get out there once. PS - had our first desmosedici along. LOOUUUDDD!

Provisionally booked...

Ok, If I share a room with someone, its gotta be someone with good personal hygine and someone who doesn`t smoke or snore.

Apart from that, lets rock and roll...I like the sound of the 6 person Hot tub (Me and 5 ladies) and the Russian run bar...

You can ride anything.

Basically there will either be open pit lane - or - 2 groups (race & mixed trackday)

Unless peeps want to do it another way.

It's OUR track for the 3 days, so we can run it how we like - basically.

Don't get that normally do ya ;)

Steve, this one is a bit unique in that Gerry is giving us the opportunity to define how we want things to run.

We could have all of us out there on an open pitlane setup. Or we could have two groups, racers and trackdayers. Or whatever we want really.

I'm in favour of open pitlane to be honest. It's over 3 days and we could all get out over that time and get things going and have plenty of track time.

TopiToo,

I wouldn't worry too much about the groups. If it's open pit lane you can stay off the track if there are people out there you'd rather not be riding with. I'm Inters now but, as it's a new track, would be taking it steady, at least to start with. I think the standard will be fast but safe (unless these guys have their race heads on, in which case I'll be getting off the track and keeping my nerves in tact.

TP, will be a an opportunity for a bit of CSS style instruction? :D

I wouldn't worry about that at all mate, honestly. Yes there will be some quick boys there but all the racers are more courteous in passing than what happens on various trackdays! And there may very well be two groups, one with racers and one with just trackdayers.

Go for it dude! It'll be a giggle as well :)

I would like to think this even will be a bit different in that all the people taking part will be mates, and therefore will give each other room etc.

Not like 90 strangers of different ability on a UK trackday.

Been thinking of this for ages, sounds the biz, so finally thought I'll go for it, checked the diary and I am in Jerez a few weeks before and Nogaro the week after it, so even if I wanted to go my bike and kit would be on a transporter on the way back from Gaudix when they need to be heading for Nogaro....ah well, have fun.

oh go on rub it in with your jet set lifestyle...never mind the rest of us heh :p

we will be deciding soon on plans for next year.

Anyone else fancy the Bracken 660cup?

WeeJohnyB

bracken cup looks ace, talked to them in the paddock and watched the racing, not for me though, although a good deal, especially for the novice racer.

anyway, are you not just back from Jerez and planning your 73 ski trips!?!??!

yeah just getting some detals through about 660 cup...looks tempting i hav to say :)

just back from Jerez, off to Vegas in 5 weeks but unlikely skiing/boarding will be in the cards as the knee is still not very strong and I am nervous about risking it on an expensive trip only to be sat indoors again.

Might have to settle for a last minute cheapo trip to Europe or just pass next year and go racing :D

Dear All, hope you had a productive meeting on Saturday. Can I just reiterate the booking conditions for this event. It will go ahead as soon as we have received 40 confirmed applications. An application is only confirmed if made on a Racedays booking form and credit card details are supplied. The credit card details will be verified and £100 deposit debited upon reaching the required number to do the event. This deposit is non-refundable. If the event goes ahead it will be debited, This is the only method to discourage 'tyre-kickers' (trade term - not specifically directed at anyone...) and although there are people with genuine reasons to change their minds we need to discourage this to avoid disappointment for everyone else at the last minute. This event is going to be awesome and I'm working on a special guest to make it even more special. Booking forms received so far, in no particular order:
