bottom yoke spindle

Does anybody know how the spindle is held into the bottom yoke on the early 749/999 yokes as I need to remove it to fit a different size on my project bike.

Any help appretiated.

Thanks for that I am presuming it unscrews out of the bottom by the look of it.
