Rear 748 shock

Can any Ducati "ninja" tell me if a 748 rear shock will fit into my class B monster and if it's allowed. If not will it fit into a 600SS.

Sorry if you have read this twice but I put it in the wrong thread.

A 748 shock is 305mm from eye to eye where as a early Supersport shock and a early Monster shock is 330mm eye to eye. Later Monsters from 2001 onwards have a 305mm shock, these are the ones without a suspension hoop on the swingarm

Thanks for the info, thought I would ask as there is one on a popular auction site for £4.99 at the moment. Glad I checked as it won't fit my bike.

I see it's a Sachs, which is probably what you already have so not much to be gained if it had fitted
