All,

Popularity.....

Currently 18 class A and 19 class B punters for 2007. (29 Actual forms - 8 with expressed intent).

Assen grid only holds 44!

Get your forms in people, and those you know who haven't give them a shove.

25 in a class will apparently give a good chance of getting separate grids.

Great news to allow us to negotiate with New Era.

Nice one.....is it March yet????

Well that is good news.

Everyone should remember though, that they have only until December 31st to sign up!

A Desmodue entry - the Christmas present that keeps on giving.

1st come, first served, on the Assen grid though!!!!

A long way to go as a reserve!

What about the people who are waiting until the meeting on the 18th to decide? Do they get shunted to the back of the queue because there are issues to be resolved?

Poor show old chap! (not directed at you Chris)

On the other hand, wouldn't it be nice to have 44 people on the grid without 'issues'. I might be tempted to jump on a plane and go to Assen ;)

It'd be great wouldn't it :)

That's why we want to resolve them ;)

TP's quote - "What about the people who are waiting until the meeting on the 18th to decide? Do they get shunted to the back of the queue because there are issues to be resolved?

Poor show old chap! (not directed at you Chris)" (I will learn how to do a double quote thingy one of these days.... Ms Dopey)

A little contradictory, perhaps?
Either way. Great result to get another race at Assen. I hope my diary is free. I've many hazy memories about trips to the Netherlands. Starbucks has a thing or two to learn about Nepalese or Kenyan :o

I cant see why an few extra days delay would matter for the Assen 'entries of intent':)
After all, the entries didnt go out until feb 06 for Assen this year.

Maybe the current RC can move the timing of these Assen entries to coincide with the final date for entries of 31st Dec?:) :)

Not at all, if we resolve the issues now then we can all go to Assen without any :)

I think thats what we all want.

This year we didnt have to put the entries in until Feb, wich i think is better because then people will know if they can commit time wise /money . But as you say first come first served................now where me stamps....

No offence taken...

Not intended to stir anyones intent or not, just an example of the popularity of DD for next year.

Assen;

Lots of newbies and/or those who didn't go last year who want in and are keen to go to Assen regardless of issues and the RC I guess???

I'd leap of the fence and put my entry in maybe.......you could always withdraw due to irreconciliable differences if required.

Sounds like a marriage! I don't want another one of them!

Not so sure that the £200 deposit wouldn't be taken in that instance, I mean, that's what it's for isn't it?

My bikes nearly ready and really looking forward to Assen, entries been in ages...

All goes back to the reason behind opeing up the entries early, get the names down on the list so that we can negotiate with New Era and if needs be get the two grids we need allocated to us for the season.

Nothing we can't sort out at the meeting on the 18th, the current sign up rate has to be a fantastic vote of confidence in our joint abilities to make 2007 the best season yet in DD !!!!!!!!!

Just a word of caution, but is that not what was said last year about two grids and look what happened. So my suggestion is that if you’re sitting on the fence of indecision then jump off it and get your forms in ASAP and lets make it two full grids of loony DD'ers....what a spectacle that would be and if the timing was right then each class could give the other it's full support from trackside too.
:) :)

Yep, exactly what was said last year....

DD never came up with the numbers on the grids though?

I'm with you MM to have 2 full grids would be great, I bizzarely quite enjoyed watching the last race of the year....only cost me £162. LOL

That's not one I've heard before but if there is any going then I'm up for it.:) You say " just yet". When does it normally start then?
Well I've got me a DD bike. I picked up Kye's one yesterday. So the question is, can I get my DD application in before getting my ACU test sorted out?

Yep get your entry in.... A newbie then, more feed to the beast that is the DD 583 class.

Welcome....and Kye's bike proved it was fast enough at Cadwell to win a class pole, an astute purchase.

Don't remember that line TP-but then it is a long time since I last watched that film.
As Paul has said, getting your entries in will give the committee(whoever they are) a better chance to negotiate with Jim Parker for the grids and other stuff that you guys would like. If after the meeting on 18th you decide it isn't for you then withdraw-there will be no charge on the deposit's until after the cutoff.

My forms are in the post today - Class B !

(and yes, I've still got the 620, and will try to run in both classes again if it looks viable)

Hmmm ... I think we'd need pit-to-rider radios so that we could prepare for when he retired again during the warm-up lap :saint:

Well I can now confirm that we have gone over the 38 mark, so we have a full grid already and will now head towards split grids once we go over 46!

Well done to everyone and thank you for your support.

You have all done very well!

What is the criteria re reserves then, I've only just sent my form off due to budget, and I can't always send me entries in as soon as I get them due to budget again, however will it be the same as this year on entries first come first served or will it go on qualifying, or forms received or what?

Group A?

Group B?

Where do I find the regulations?

Group A?

Group B?

Where do I find the regulations?

In simple terms Class A is 620 bikes, Class B, 583

If you want all the info send an email to secretary@ducatisportingclub.com

Rules/regulations will be much as last year which are available now, minor additions to clarify things like the reserve situation and the fuel regulations will be added but there are no proposed machine regulation changes in the pipeline.

A link to the New Era provisional dates has been posted on the DD forum, we haven't as yet determined which rounds we will be negotiating with New Era to attend next year.
