hey i went to check it recorded last night this morning if that makes sense. Did it start early or something? I've got a martial art film on and so i kept rewinding, but it seems i've only got the last half hour of it!

I got the Pulse DVD for my birthday though, not had time to watch it yet perhaps in January when it's depressing.

Me too, Melnie. There was a film on BBC 1 and I checked the other channels so don't know what happened. Would love to have seen it. Hopefully it will be repeated.

You youngsters...when I saw this post I thought "Oh yeah, I was there" then I thought "No, hang on, I was still living at home with my Mum and Dad then...it was the first DSOTM tour, that I saw in about 1973-ish"

Must have been because I had only just started college...Blimey...so then one day I find, 33 years have got behind me, no-one told me when to run....

I do remember it well though, they must have been the first band to use a quadrophonic PA system. During the gig they didn't use the quad stuff too soon, it was bought in right at the end of "on the run" when suddenly all the sound panned to the back of the venue (Earls Court I think - could've been Wembley). At the same time a huge model plane "flew" from the back of the hall and dived towards the stage, the sound panned to follow the plane and all the spotlights picked it out too. It skimmed over the band and "blew up" backstage. Even though I could see the wire the plane was suspended on, at 18 or thereabouts in the gloomy 70's, I thought that it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.

He did Hyde Park with Nick Mason the night England went out of the world cup.

Was a good gig, did all of Dark Side of the Moon and a load of other stuff.

Anyone here during the free concerts in Hyde Park in 1969 or 70?? I saw the Floyd there-they played 'Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun'-and the bloody sun came out-freeked us right out, saw the Stones in the park as well and some other concerts-great memories.
