Mav,
Most of the problems we are experiencing seem to be down to the service providers and not the website software.
Your first error message tends to point to the provider (again) but someone else could be having a different problem so I feel its always worthwhile asking.

Yep, that can be arranged :D

As an aside its worthwhile keeping an eye on what your own service providers are up to.
I'm with NTLworld and often have to reboot the cable modem as it locks up every other month or so however, they also have a status page to let users know to expect something might be happening:
http://www.ntl-isp.ntl.com/ServiceStatus/
Your own provider might provide something similar.
Cheers - Frank

I was able to connect intermitently but it would then play silly buggers with me and the headings would move around and it would time out etc.

Frank,
I don't fancy watching an old Clint Eastwood film, especially at a time like this, my PC needs a medic. ;)

As a professional geek that works in the Micro****e space along with my team at work I thought I'd let you know that not a single one of us runs IE7 :)

In case it helps -
I'm IE7 and haven't managed to connect for 2 - 3 days prior to this morning.
All other sites work fine.
<edit> I couldn't log on last night when people above are reporting being back on line.
