Ducati SF Start Issue

I have a 2009 Streetfighter which i have just bought from a dealer. But I am having an issue starting the bike. It may take a couple of minutes to start. Even when it does and can then switch it off and it will again take some time to start it!

Can anyone help. I am better to go back to the dealer? Thanks.

If you start working on the bike and uncover something sinister the dealer may not honor the warranty because you have attempted to repair it yourself. Best to take it back.
